Chapel Cottage provides a cosy and comfortable retreat in the leafy lanes and rolling fields of Tremail, near Camelford. Upon entering this semi-detached Cottage you find yourself in a charming and inviting conservatory, a lovely spot with seating for two, where you can read the morning paper or your favourite book. The unfussy living/dining room, with wooden beams above, has a wood burner, a sofa to sink deeply into and a TV, whilst the kitchen is well equipped. Wander upstairs and you will find a bathroom with electric shower over the bath, whilst the double bedroom, with its quaint window and pine bed surround, will be a welcome sight after an adventurous and tiring day.
From here, discover the stunning North Cornwall coast and explore coves and beaches in abundance. Tintagel is a short distance away, forever entwined with the legends of King Arthur; its castle and superb footbridge are a popular attraction. Boscastle, with pretty cottages leading down to a beautiful harbour, and Port Isaac, where the TV series ‘Doc Martin’ is filmed, are all within 30 minutes’ drive.
The beach at Crackington Haven is flanked by rising hills and cliffs where the vistas are truly breathtaking! Widemouth Bay is perfect for a beach walk, and no matter how busy it gets, there is always space, especially at low tide where rockpools are plentyful. In thriving Padstow, where chef Rick Stein plies his trade, culinary seafood delights await you, whilst the busy little harbour with its colourful boats is a great excuse to just relax in.
The rear of the cottage backs onto a small, well-kept cemetery whilst just across the lane, behind your own car parking space is the garden, with a few small stone steps enticing you along a short path to a table and two chairs, where you can sit and enjoy your favourite beverage perhaps, whilst chatting through your day and imagining what tomorrow might bring! Beach 8 miles.
