This barn conversion, adjacent to the owner’s home, is set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in a tranquil, secluded location. This is the ideal holiday location being just a 5-minute drive from Lands End, which boasts spectacular cliffs with breathtaking scenery, and the very popular Sennen beach, which enjoys good surf and spectacular sunsets. The white sand of this popular beach attracts families and keen surfers. St Just is the nearest town, just 3 miles away, and has a busy square with shops, a bakery, four pubs, craft shops and art galleries. The fishing village of Mousehole is 6 miles with its small sandy beach area, pretty harbour, narrow twisting streets lined with excellent restaurants and pubs, or slightly further is St Ives, 12 miles. Penzance is also worth a visit, with its wealth of amenities including museums, fishing, golf, tennis and horse riding, as well as day trips to the Isles of Scilly. St Michael’s Mount at Marazion is a further 3 miles from Penzance. There is easy access to spectacular walks in the surrounding countryside and the coastal path to Cape Cornwall in one direction and Land’s End in the other. For cultural enthusiasts the St Ives Tate Gallery is on offer or the open air Minack Theatre at Porthcurno. The area has a number of golf courses, watersports, cycle hire and sub-tropical gardens to explore. Shop and pub 3 miles.
Bowji was beautiful and the cream tea and scones on arrival was a lovely surprise. Everything you needed was there and the hot tub was amazing. Overall the cleanliness was good but there were a couple of issues e.g black mould in the en-suite bathroom and after walking around barefoot the first evening myself and my boyfriend both had very dirty feet so needed to clean them before bed. Things to note when staying there, even though the owners left us alone, their house was only a single track driveway away from Bowji and with the low fences we could see people (assuming the owners) walking past when using the hot tub ( not great if you don’t want to be seen in your swim wear!). Bowji is also down country roads and the final approach is a very bumpy single track road which wasn’t great for our little Peugeot! But is still very accessible when taken slowly! Would definitely be back when in the area as overall my boyfriend and I had a lovely valentines weekend away here.
Had a lovely time at the Bowji, we managed to arrive on the day of an awful storm with super strong winds and it pretty much rained all weekend so couldn’t use the hot tub. However in spite of that we had a lovely stay and saw the sights of Cornwall.
We loved staying at Bowji and the owner was lovely and helpful. Cream tea on arrival, fresh flowers and a pumpkin for Halloween was really kind. Under floor heating was cosy too especially as we went on an exceptionally wet and cold week. Confused when we arrived as there is signs for another holiday home called Bowji very close by, might be worth noting this in the directions. Also struggled to have enough hot water for each of us (4) to have a hot shower even after staggering them as advised. Lovely walks nearby but didn’t do them all due to rubbish weather. Cocoa the dog was made very welcome and loved his first family holiday, thank you so much 😊
Great place to stay and dogs made very welcome, the hot tub was a great way to replace at the end of the day
Extremely relaxing & quiet location very well equipped. Close many quiet beaches would definitely recomend
We had an amazing time staying at Bowji. The cottage is in a lovely, quiet place. It was really well equipped, beautifully decorated and made to feel like a home away from home. It’s in a perfect location for exploring West Cornwall. We’ll be back!
Ok accommodation no playing area for kids expected a higher standard being classed as luxury. Not to well signed although satnav takes you too it. Lovely location and surrounding area just not total value for money.
Home from home. What more could you want. Awesome ❤❤❤❤❤??
Fantastic holiday from start to finish. Good location to visit most of Cornish Coast. The owners live across the way in front the cottage but don’t bother you but are there if you want anything..We endured a 7 hour drive from Yorkshire but the bonus is we got in the Hot tub with a gin and tonic over ice or maybe 2 or3 ?
Lovely location close to St Just and Sennen cove
We loved our stay in the cottage. The cream tea on arrival was a lovely touch and the hot tub was an excellent way to chill as a family after a day exploring the area. The cottage is very well equipped, with loads of information about things to do. It is also very nicely furnished and feels very We would definitely love to go back again. PS: one very trivial thing ( might be helpful for other families): would be nice to have a few plastic containers to take food on days out. ?
Fantastic place with excellent hosts. We were left alone and had a wonderful time with out 2 year old daughter.
Our stay February, 2020
Lovely place with so much to see and do close by.
